Terry Winters (American, 1949), Untitled, 1981. Charcoal and watercolor on paper, 29 ⅞ x 22 ⅛ in.
Part of an oakleaf hydrangea I saw on my walk.
Autumn is coming.
“I remember how I used to cry because I was so happy I had you in my life. Now seasons have changed, the winter is gone, the rain has stopped, the sun is shinning, and I keep crying, but this time, it’s not happiness pouring down my face, because just like the winter, you’re no longer here.”
I came back here and I saw this quote I had in my drafts, I wrote this 6 years ago and I decided to share this now, to tell anyone that’s hurting, it does get better, you do move on, some faster than others, but if you keep fighting, I promise it will be worth it.
Love.
